UE LOCAL 1111 CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS (Revised and adopted 2-6-2005)
We, the Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers (UE), realize that the struggle to better working conditions is in vain unless we are united to protect ourselves collectively against the organized forces of employers. Realizing that the old craft form of trade union organization is unable to defend effectively the interests and improve the conditions of wage earners, we the Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers (UE), form an organization which unites all workers in our industry on an industrial basis, and rank and file control, regardless of craft, age, sex, nationality, race, creed, or political beliefs, and pursue at all times a policy of aggressive struggle to improve our conditions. We pledge ourselves to labor unitedly for the principles herein set forth, to perpetuate our union and work concertedly with other labor organizations to bring about a higher standard of living of the workers.
1. This organization shall be known as Allen-Bradley Workers Union, Local 1111, United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE).
2. Local 1111 shall be affiliated with the United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America (UE), District Council #11 and such other bodies as the membership may determine.
3. It shall be the object of this Local Union to protect, maintain and advance the interests of the workers; to organize the unorganized in conformity with its jurisdiction and provide for the advancement of the interests of the workers.
OFFICERS AND EXECUTIVE BOARD 4. The elected officers of the Local shall be President, Vice President, Plant Chief Steward, a Secretary-Treasurer, three (3) Trustees, a Sergeant-at-Arms, three (3) Executive Board Members-at-Large, one (1) Bargaining-Grievance Committee Member, Chief Steward-Skilled Trades Departments, Chief Steward - Second Shift, Chief Steward - Third Shift. 5. The Executive Board shall consist of the President, Vice President, Plant Chief Steward, Secretary-Treasurer, Sergeant-At-Arms, three (3) Executive Board Members-At-Large, one (1) Bargaining-Grievance Member, Chief Steward - Skilled Trades Departments, Chief Steward - Second Shift, Chief Steward - Third Shift, three (3) Trustees. BARGAINING-GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE 6. The Bargaining-Grievance Committee shall consist of the President, Vice President, Plant Chief Steward, Chief Steward - Second Shift, Chief Steward - Third Shift, Chief Steward - Skilled Trades Departments, and one (1) Bargaining-Grievance Committee Member.
7. The President shall: (A) Preside at all regular and special meetings of the Local and of the Local Executive Board. (B) Be an ex-officio member of all Local committees (C) Appoint all committees subject to the approval of the Local Executive Board, for the term of one (1) year; there shall be constituted, in addition to those committees named in this Constitution, a Constitution Committee, and such other committees as the Local President, with the concurrence of the Local Executive Board, shall deem necessary and appropriate for the welfare of the Local Union. (D) Have the power to fill any vacancy on any committee or office caused by the resignation, removal, or death of a member for the unexpired term of each member, subject to the approval of the membership. (E) Countersign checks jointly with the Secretary-Treasurer and give bond satisfactory to the Local Executive Board. (F) Preserve order and enforce the Constitution and By-Laws of this Union. (G) Be a member and chairperson of the Bargaining-Grievance Committee and of the Local Executive Board. (H) Be a delegate to the District Council and the National Convention. (To Top) 8. The Vice President shall: (A) Assist the President and Plant Chief Steward in the performance of all their duties and act in their absence. In the event of the resignation or death of the President, the Vice President shall automatically become President. (B) Be a member of the Local Executive Board (C) Be a member of the Local Bargaining-Grievance Committee (To Top) DUTIES OF THE SECRETARY-TREASURER 9. The Secretary-Treasurer shall: (A) Keep all records of the meetings of the Local Union and of the Local Executive Board. (B) Conduct all correspondence of the Local Union and of the Executive Board unless otherwise directed by the Local Executive Board or as provided herein. (C) Perform such other duties with the approval of the Local Executive Board as may be necessary for the proper and effective administration of the Local. (D) Receive, receipt, and account for all money paid to the Local. (E) Furnish all supplies pertaining to the Local. (F) Pay all bills authorized by the Local. (G) Furnish a monthly financial report to the Local giving account of all pay receipts and expenditures. (H) Pay all per capita. (I) Deposit all monies as directed by the Executive Board. (J) Give bond, subject to the approval of the Executive Board which shall cover the amount entrusted to the Secretary-Treasurer's care. Such bond shall be paid for by the Local. (K) Countersign all checks jointly with the President. (L) Furnish the National Union a statement every three (3) months stating the condition of the books. Such a statement shall be signed by the Trustees, President, and the Secretary-Treasurer of the Local. (M) Be a member of the Local Executive Board. (To Top) DUTIES OF THE PLANT CHIEF STEWARD 10. The Plant Chief Steward shall: (A) Be in charge of processing all grievances through the second step of the grievance procedure and assist Stewards with all grievances. (B) Be in charge of all Stewards in the plant. (C) Conduct all Steward Council Meetings. (D) Conduct all Steward Elections. (E) Furnish a grievance report to the Executive Board and membership. (F) Be a member of the Bargaining-Grievance Committee. (G) Be a member of the Local Executive Board. (H) Appoint temporary stewards until an election is held, pursuant to Sec. 21-II. (I) Automatically become President should the office of President and Vice President be vacated at the same time through death or resignation. (J) Be a delegate to the District Council and National Convention. (K) Determine whether a department or work group is of sufficient size to require the representation of a steward, subject to the approval of the membership. (To Top) DUTIES OF THE CHIEF STEWARDS - 2ND & 3RD SHIFTS 11. The Chief Stewards on the second and third shifts shall: (A) Assist the President and Plant Chief Steward on their respective shifts. (B) Be responsible for all stewards on their shifts. (C) Assist stewards under his or her jurisdiction with all first step grievances. (D) Process second step grievances at the direction of the Plant Chief Steward. (E) Be a members of the Bargaining-Grievance Committee. (F) Be members of the Local Executive Board. (To Top) 12. The Trustees shall: (A) Act as the custodians and exercise supervision over all property of the Local and make a monthly report to the Executive Board and Membership. (B) Manage and safeguard all property of the Local. (C) Examine and audit all books and records of the Local every three months and make quarterly reports of the same at the regular meeting of the Local. (D) Make such other reports and audits as directed by the Executive Board or the Local. (E) Authorize a qualified auditor to audit the record books once a year. (F) They shall be members of the Executive Board. (To Top) DUTIES OF THE SERGEANT-AT-ARMS 13. The Sergeant-At-Arms shall: (A) Assist the President in preserving order. (B) Ascertain whether all persons present are in good standing whenever the meeting is declared a closed meeting. Shall guard the door well and not permit entrance of any unauthorized person and may call upon any or all members for assistance. The Sergeant-At-Arms shall be responsible that no person under the influence of intoxicating liquor is permitted to enter. (C) Be a member of the Local Executive Board. (To Top)
14. The Executive Board shall: (A) Meet at least once a month. (B) Special meetings of the Executive Board shall be called by the President or by the President or by the Secretary-Treasurer at the request of three members of the Executive Board. (C) Seven (7) members of the Executive Board shall constitute a quorum. (D) All decisions of the Executive Board shall be by a majority vote of those present. (E) The Local Executive Board, by a majority vote, may advise or control the course of action of any and all Local Officers, committees and delegates to affiliated organizations except as otherwise provided. (F) The Local Executive Board may at any time require from an officer, committees and delegate to affiliated organizations a full and detailed account of any action or business done in the name of the Local or in connection with the Local. (G) The Local Executive Board, with the approval of the Local, may fix compensation to be paid any member, officer or other person employed by the Local, provided such compensation shall not exceed the maximum wage paid to workers of the industry. (H) The Local Executive Board shall determine the financial arrangements necessary to insure that the business of the Local functions orderly. They shall perform all duties necessary for a proper administration of the affairs of the Local consistent with the Local Constitution of the National. (I) The Local Executive Board shall have the power to temporarily suspend for cause any officer, steward or member pending trial. This action shall occur only after service upon such member of written specific charges which shall also give him or her reasonable time to prepare for his or her defense. The suspension shall remain in effect until a final decision has been rendered. (J) The Local Executive Board shall, after trial which it will conduct, determine the innocence or guilt of the accused and shall have the power to reprove, fine, suspend or to remove him or her from office or any other official representative capacity in the Local Union, or to expel him or her from membership. The action of the Local Executive Board shall be subject to ratification by a secret ballot vote of the membership present at a membership meeting. (K) The Executive Board may order any member of the Local to appear before the Board at any special or regular meeting of the Board. Notice shall be given to the member in writing. If any member fails to appear before the Executive Board when so ordered, without having been previously excused, the Executive Board shall have the right to take action without the member being present. (L) The Executive Board shall use every possible means to organize the unorganized within its jurisdiction. (M) Each Executive Board member shall attend all Executive Board meetings, Steward Council meetings, and Membership meetings and will be a member of at least one (1) of the standing committees as set up by the Local. In the event that an Executive Board member misses three (3) consecutive Executive Board, Steward Council, Membership or Committee meetings to which they have been assigned, that Executive Board seat shall be declared vacant. Absence without reasonable excuse will be reason for the Executive Board to declare any Board Member's seat vacant. (N) The Executive Board, with the approval of the Membership, shall designate the Departments that will comprise the Skilled Trades Group. (O) All members of the Executive Board must be on checkoff and members in good standing at all times. (P) Members of the Executive Board shall assist the Plant Chief Steward in the handling of grievances. (Q) If a member of the Executive Board chooses to take a voluntary layoff, they would have to relinquish their Executive Board position. This does not apply to mandatory shutdown. (To Top) DUTIES OF THE BARGAINING-GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE 15. The Bargaining-Grievance Committee shall: (A) Handle all negotiations and grievances taken up with Management. (B) Sign all Contracts and Agreements with Management authorized by the Executive Board and Membership. (C) Be members of the Executive Board.
SKILLED TRADES DEPARTMENTS 16. The Chief Steward Skilled Trades Departments shall: (A) Assist the President and Plant Chief Steward in the Skilled Trades Departments. (B) Be responsible for all Stewards in the Skilled Trades Departments. (C) Assist Stewards under her/his jurisdiction with all first step grievances. (D) Process second step grievances at the direction of the Plant Chief Steward. (E) Be a member of the Bargaining-Grievance Committee. (F) Be a member of the Local Executive Board. (To Top) NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND DELEGATES
17. (A) At least five (5) days prior to the first regular October meeting of the Local, the Secretary-Treasurer shall notify the Membership that nomination of officers shall be held at the first regular meeting in October. (B) Nominations for office shall be made from the floor at the regular October meeting of the Membership. Only those members nominated at the regular Membership meeting, when nominations take place, will be eligible to run for and accept an officer or delegate position. (C) The following officers shall be nominated and elected by the General Membership. The order of nominations shall be: President, Vice President, Plant Chief Steward, Secretary-Treasurer, Sergeant-At-Arms, three (3) Executive Board Members-At-Large, and three (3) Trustees. (D) Chief Stewards on the Second and Third shifts shall be nominated and elected by members of their respective shifts and must be a member of the shift they represent. (E) Chief Steward - Skilled Trades Departments must be nominated and elected by the members of their group and must be a member of one of those departments. (F) Bargaining-Grievance Committee Member shall be nominated and elected by the members of the departments not covered by the Skilled-Trades group and must be a member of one of those departments. (G) Only members in good standing shall be eligible to run for office. (H) New members or re-instated members shall not be eligible to run for office until they have been dues paying members for twelve (12) consecutive months immediately preceding the nomination. Lump sum payments of back dues shall not be considered in compliance with this paragraph. (I) Members not present at the time of the nominations shall indicate their intentions by informing the Secretary-Treasurer by written notarized letter, registered or certified mail, not later than five (5) days following the meeting at which nominations were made, whether they accept or decline such nomination. If the nominee does not inform the Secretary-Treasurer in a written notarized letter, registered or certified mail, not later than five (5) days following the meeting at which nominations were made, he or she shall not be considered a candidate. (J) Members present at the time of nominations shall indicate their intentions by accepting or declining such nominations orally. (K) Positions on the ballot shall be drawn by nominee or by proxy. (L) The members shall elect at least three (3) members to serve as an Election Committee whose duties it shall be to take charge of the election, and as many additional tellers as deemed necessary to count and certify the number of votes cast for each candidate, and shall forward a certificate showing results of the election to the Local Executive Board. The Local Executive Board then shall declare the candidate receiving the highest number of votes elected. The ballots must be kept for a period of at least one (1) year. (M) The Local Executive Board shall designate a time and place for the election not sooner than fourteen (14) days after the nominations and not later than the regular November membership meeting. Absentee ballots may be provided when a member is on vacation or leave of absence. This election shall be by secret ballot. (N) The Secretary-Treasurer shall, not later than fifteen (15) days before the election, mail to the last known address of all members, an official election notice. Not less than five (5) days prior to the election, the Secretary-Treasurer shall post, or cause to have posted on the bulletin boards, a complete list of candidates together with the date of the election and the time and place that the polls will be open. (O) No member of this Local shall hold and accept nominations for more than one (1) elective office. This section shall not be construed to apply to department stewards, committee members, or delegates to affiliated organizations. (P) The terms of offices shall expire the last day of November, at which time their successors shall take office beginning December 1st. All books, records, monies, and all other property of the Local shall be delivered to the newly elected officers when they take office. (Q) When Nominations and Elections for Delegates to Councils or Conventions of affiliates are held, the above applicable rules shall apply. In an emergency, nominations and elections may take place at the same meeting. The Secretary-Treasurer must state in the notice that nominations and elections are to be held. All delegate elections shall be by secret ballot. (R) In the absence of an elected Delegate, the three (3) runners-up, in order of the number of votes they receive in any delegate election, shall be the alternate delegate. (S) Only members in good standing shall be eligible to run for delegates to councils or conventions. (T) New members or re-instated members shall not be eligible to run for delegates to councils or conventions until they are dues paying members for twelve (12) consecutive months immediately preceding the nominations. Lump sum payments of back dues shall not be considered in compliance with this paragraph. (U) When Multiple candidates tie in an election of an officer or delegate, a recount of votes will take place. If the tie persists, the election will be decided by placing the names of all tied candidates into a drawing and the Election Committee Chairperson will draw the winning name(s).
18. (A) All Committee Chairpeople and members shall be appointed by the President with approval of the Executive Board and Membership. (B) The President, being an ex-officio member of all committees shall be notified of all committee meetings by the chairpeople of such committee. (C) No action may be taken by any committee without the approval of the Executive Board, or by a majority vote of the body. (D) All recommendations and resolutions of committees shall be submitted to the Executive Board prior to the regular meeting date of this Local for approval and, thereon, as a regular report to the membership. (E) Any committee member who misses three (3) consecutive committee meetings, with out a reasonable excuse, or who fails to consistently participate in committee activities, shall be automatically removed from that committee. MEMBERSHIP AND SPECIAL MEETINGS 19. (A) Membership meetings of the Local shall be held at least once a month to conduct all regular business, except as otherwise indicated by the membership. (B) Special meetings may be called by the President, Local Executive Board, of on petition of ten (10) or more members for the transaction of any special or regular business. All members must be notified by the Secretary-Treasurer of the purpose and place of such meetings, at least twenty four (24) hours prior to such special meeting. (C) It is the obligation of each member to attend the meeting for the purpose of conducting the business of the Local. (To Top)
DUES, INITIATIONS, RE-INSTATEMENTS & VOTING ELIGIBILITY 20. (A) Effective on July 30, 2000, each member shall pay monthly dues equal to 1.8 hours times his/her straight time hourly earned rate. Weekly dues shall be calculated by dividing the monthly dues by four (4). These dues levels shall be subject to the minimum monthly dues prescribed by the U.E. National Constitution.
The weekly dues shall be automatically increased by an amount that is no less than the average percentage of any negotiated general wage increase and/or cost of living increases. SUCH DUES INCREASES SHALL GO INTO EFFECT NO LATER THAN THE DATE OF THE WAGE AND/OR COST-OF-LIVING INCREASES. OTHER INCREASE OR OTHER CHANGE IN DUES SHALL BE AUTHORIZED BY A SECRET BALLOT VOTE OF THE MEMBERSHIP. (B) If any member is on the payroll less than five (5) calendar days in any given month, they shall be eligible to obtain an unemployment dues receipt. The Secretary-Treasurer shall charge ten cents ($.10) for each unemployment dues receipt issued. (C) If a member does not pay dues for any given month, they shall be suspended. This member is not in good standing and is not entitled to vote. In order to vote, a member, who in not on check-off, must have their dues paid for the month in which the meeting is held. (D) A member suspended for non-payment of dues may, again, become a member in good standing by paying all back dues, or by going on checkoff, and having current dues deducted, or by paying a reinstatement fee of $30.00, plus the current month's dues. (E) Members, who have been suspended for non-payment of dues may be re-instated by paying monthly dues. Members re-instating in this manner shall not be eligible to vote until they have been members in good standing for six (6) consecutive months immediately preceding the election, or upon going on checkoff and having current dues for the month of the election paid. Lump sum payments of back dues shall not be considered in compliance with this paragraph. (F) An Honorable Withdrawal card shall be issued to any member in good standing who obtains employment outside the jurisdiction of the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE), except members granted leaves of absences from their employment. (G) A member holding an Honorable Withdrawal card shall, upon resuming employment within the jurisdiction of this Local again be admitted to the membership by depositing the Honorable Withdrawal card and payment of the current month's dues. (H) All persons accepted for membership in the Local shall be notified by the Secretary-Treasurer to be present at the following membership meeting to be initiated. (To Top)
21. (A) Collect dues and turn over all dues money to the Secretary-Treasurer. (B) Process grievances in their department or group. (C) Organize the unorganized. (D) Form a department committee to assist them. (E) Each steward must be a member in good standing at all times and have their dues checked off at all times. (F) Each steward shall attend all Steward Council and Membership meetings. (G) Stewards must remain in their department and on the shift they were elected to represent. (H) If a Department Steward chooses to take a voluntary layoff, they would have to relinquish their Department Steward position. This does not apply to mandatory plant shutdown. (To Top)
(A) A steward shall be elected by secret ballot by the members in their department or group where the Plant Chief Steward, subject to the approval of the membership, has determined that the size of the department or work group requires steward's representation. (B) Nomination and election of Stewards shall be held in the month of February for the term of one (1) year. All nominations must be filed by February 10th. There shall be no write in elections held after February 10th in any department where no member has been nominated. The term of office shall be from March 1st of one (1) year to the last day of February of the following year. (C) Only members in good standing for twelve (12) months immediately preceding the election for Steward shall be eligible to run for Stewardship, except if the Local Executive Board waives the twelve (12) month period in an unusual case which is for the good and welfare of the Local or when a new department is formed. (D) If a member does not pay dues for any given month, they shall be considered delinquent. This member is not in good standing and is not entitled to vote. In order to vote, a member, who is not on checkoff, must have their dues paid for the month in which the election is held. (E) Any member, who shall fail to pay dues for a period of three (3) months shall be automatically suspended. (F) A member suspended for non-payment of dues may, again, become a member in good standing by paying all back dues, or by going on checkoff, and having current dues deducted. (G) Members, who have been suspended for non-payment of dues, may be re-instated by paying monthly dues. Members re-instating in this manner shall not be eligible to vote until they have been members in good standing for six (6) consecutive months immediately preceding the election, or upon going on checkoff and having the current dues for the month of the election paid. Lump sum payments of back dues shall not be considered in compliance with this paragraph. (H) When multiple candidates tie in an election of a steward, a recount of votes will take place. If the tie persists, the election will be decided by placing the names of all tied candidates into a drawing and the Plant Chief Steward will draw the winning name(s). (I) Absentee ballots will be provided at the Union Office on the Thursday, Friday, and Monday preceding a steward election. (A) All Stewards shall be members of the Steward Council. (B) Steward Council shall meet at least once a month. (C) Steward Council may make recommendations to the Local Executive Board. (To Top)
DUTIES AND PRIVILEGES OF MEMBERSHIP 22. (A) Each member at initiation shall pledge to support Local 1111 of the United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America (UE), and to assist in organizing the unorganized and shall declare the solidarity with their brother and sister workers, regardless of race, creed, sex, color, nationality, political belief or affiliation and support the Constitution of the United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America (UE). (B) Charges may be preferred against any member of this Local for any one or more of the following reasons: 1. Violation of any provision of this Constitution or the By-Laws of the Union. 2. Doing any act or thing which is intended or likely to injure the Union or bring discredit upon it, or to hamper or interfere with the Union or its officers in attempting to accomplish any of its purposes. 3. Engaging in raiding or secession activities against the Union. 4. Doing any act against the general good and welfare of the Union. (C) A charge may be made by any member in good standing. The charge shall be in writing and shall be presented to the Executive Board of the Local Union. A copy of the charge shall be given to the accused by the Local Secretary-Treasurer. In the event a charge against a member is filed, the Executive Board of the Local shall constitute itself a trial board and a trial shall be determined by the Executive Board, and the accused shall be entitled to a fair trial. The accused shall be given at least seven (7) days notice of the time and place of said trial. The trial may proceed without the accused if the accused is not present. (D) The Local Executive Board shall receive evidence, hear testimony of interested witnesses, and the Board may record all or any part of the testimony if it so desires. The majority vote of the Executive Board shall be sufficient for a decision, and the Board shall have the power to do any of the following: 1. Dismiss the charge if the accused is found innocent. 2. Censure the accused if found guilty. 3. Suspend the membership of the accused if found guilty. 4. Impose and collect a fine from the accused if found guilty. 5. Expel the member if found guilty. (E) Subject to the approval of the membership, the decision of the Local Executive Board shall be final unless reversed or modified by appeal as provided herein. The charging party and the accused shall each have the right of appeal to District Council 11. The procedure on appeal shall be determined by the reverse or modify the decision of the Local. A further appeal may be taken to the UE General Executive Board and from that body to the ensuing convention. Each further appellate body shall have the power to reverse or modify the prior decisions made and shall also have the power to determine the procedure on appeal. (To Top)
COMPLAINTS OF A MEMBER AGAINST THE UNION 23. All disputes, claims or demands of a member of any kind, relating to the Constitution, By-Laws and the rights of any member against the Union shall be settled in the following manner: (A) The member shall give written notice of the complaint to the Union by registered mail or personal service within ten (10) days after the cause of the complaint originates. (B) Upon receipt of any written complaint of any member, the Union shall have twenty (20) days to answer the complaint in writing, which shall be sent to the complaining member by registered mail or by personal service. (C) Within thirty (30) days after the answer of the Union is mailed or served on the complaining member as provided herein, the complaining member shall meet with the Executive Board of the Union in an effort to settle the dispute, claim or demand of the member. (D) If the complaint of the member cannot be settled as provided aforesaid, it shall, upon demand in writing of the complaining member or the Union, be submitted to the Executive Board of District Council 11. District Council 11 shall determine its own rules of procedure and shall have the power to reverse or modify the decision of the Local Executive Board. (E) If the complaint of the member cannot be settled by District Council 11, as provided aforesaid, it shall, upon demand, in writing, of the complaining member or the Union, be submitted to the UE General Executive Board and from that body shall have the power to reverse or modify the prior decisions made and shall also have the power to determine its appellate procedure. (F) Subject to the approval of the membership, the decision of the Local Executive Board shall be final unless reversed or modified by appeal as provided herein. (To Top)
24. The Constitution can be amended by submitting the amendment to the Constitution Committee for recommendation. Any proposed amendment recommended by the Constitution Committee must be published and the members notified by regular methods at least fifteen (15) days prior to the meeting at which the amendment shall be voted on by the membership. If the amendment is carried by 2/3 majority of the members present at this meeting, it shall be declared so amended.
25. All meetings shall be conducted under the Robert's Rules of Order, unless otherwise specified in the Constitution. Meetings shall be conducted in the following manner: (A) Roll call of officers and noting absentees. (B) Reading and Approval of Minutes. (C) Communications and Bills. (D) Report of the Secretary-Treasurer, including receipts & expenditures. (E) Reports of Committees (F) Unfinished Business (G) New Business (H) Good and Welfare of the Union (I) Adjournment (To Top) (A) Approval of all recommendations by the Local Executive Board, the Bargaining-Grievance Committee and the Steward Council shall be by a majority vote of the membership present at a regular or special meeting. (B) Authorization for bargaining demands shall be by the approval of a majority vote of the membership present at a regular or special meeting. (C) Ratification of contract terms shall be by the approval of a secret ballot, majority vote of the membership present at a regular or special meeting. (D) A strike can only be authorized by a secret ballot. The Local Executive Board shall conduct a secret ballot strike vote and shall designate the time and place, subject to the approval of the membership. The membership shall determine who shall be eligible to vote on a secret ballot strike vote. (E) When the Union and Company Bargaining Committees reach a tentative contract agreement, copies of such agreement will be distributed to the Bargaining Unit a minimum of one (1) working day (Monday through Friday) before the ratification vote is taken. In the event of a strike, the Executive Board shall
have the power to waive the above language. |
